I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Meta (Menlo Park, CA) in Jul 2024
Interview
Typical tech company interview process, guided through the stages, met various team members during phone screenings, on-site interviews, and hiring committee interviews. It was nerve-wracking, but rewarding since I didn't land the job at Meta, it prepared me for other interviews where I finally accepted an offer elsewhere.
They do their team-matching stage last. Which means that after a long interview process, it's possible there's no team that was a fit for your skills in the first place.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Meta (California City, CA) in Jul 2024
Interview
Recruiter reached out for a phone screening asking some background info like why looking for a new job, time available to start .etc. Followed by a video screening with an employee asking very specific questions about UX research methodologies.
The video screening is not a pleasant experience, guess it's due to Meta recruits without knowing which team you're going but assuming you should be an expert in every field. The interviewer sat in a room that's almost transparent to everyone outside, so during the 45 min conversation, you'll keep see ppl walking by every now and then but staring at you which was very uncomfortable.
