Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Round 1: (tech round)
simple questions on terraform, ansible, AWS, K8s, Jenkins, monitoring and all...
Round 2: (Engineering manager round)
same discussion over your CV
Round 3: (Discussion with CTO)
Detailed walkthrough about team structure, tech stack and priorities on which platform you would like to work?
CTO was happy and positive about the overall discussion and tech proficiency.
Again...
Round 4: (Unknown round) with other team engineering manager
same repeated discussion
Got call from HR with completely wrong feedback from round 4 interviewer.
Process took over two weeks with 3-4 hours of time dedicated to non-recruiter interviews (1 group peer interview, 1 hiring manager interview). Even though I completed all steps, the hiring manager did not circle back before a final decision which was provided via phone by the recruiter rather than email. At this stage in the process it feels promising to have a scheduled call for a decline which could feel sour for some. Same position was re-posted within a ~ 1-2 months and while the team was growing I did not get the impression it would be adding a new non-backfill role opening that quickly.
