I applied online. I interviewed at MuleSoft (London, England)
Interview
Very unprofessional. I was approached via email by a senior hr person in the Mulesoft HR team who asked me if I had time to have an initial conversation the next day. I got back with times and said I would be happy to workaround my schedule to speak at times outside if the ones I had suggested. The HR person didn't get back. I followed up for two days , and even called her receiving a curt I'm busy I will email you and she hasn't bothered to reply for over a week. I appreciate being busy but if you reach out to a candidate and specifically ask for times to speak with them as they are a fit for the role your are hiring this is very unprofessional. I was surprised as I thought mulesoft won awards for being a great place to work! Maybe they are too good to need anyone ever. I often feel like once companies reach a certain level they think they can treat potential candidates however they feel like and no one will say anything. It's a shame really.

I applied in-person. I interviewed at MuleSoft in May 2014
Interview
Two rushed 25 minute telephone interviews. Didn't really get into any detail about the role. I was asked if I had any questions about the company and the hirer tried to answer them.
I waited a week and asked for some feedback. Heard nothing more.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at MuleSoft (San Francisco, CA) in May 2017
Interview
Recruiter reached out. Passed two screens, interviewed on-site. Following the on-site, recruiter emailed to say interview impression was positive. Then she checked-in 1-2 times a week to see if already had other offers but gave no real updates. After one month, she called to say they moved on with another candidate.
By that time, I had already moved on myself.
Overall, the recruitment strategy is pretty unprofessional. Don't count integrity among the organizational values. I like the technology but glad am not part of this type of a culture.
