applied through college ,four round of selection
1-> aptitude (Specific AMCAT in college few days before drive) 70% eliminated (next round eligible 130 approx) 3 hours.
start timing 10:00 hrs for rest round. 20 members team with HR and tech dude visited college.
2-> Group discussion : no worry , easy topics can clear with average comm skill irrespective of knowledge of topic . (in group of 12 approx 5 eliminated)(next round eligible 80 approx) 20 minutes
3->technical round : core of your branch (google for it read 15-25 puzzle and its done)( 50% eliminated ) (next round eligible 40) 20 minutes
4->HR round : introduce yourself ,(approx 25% eliminated) 15 minutes
NOTE :
final letter of intention to hire given at 20:00 hrs to almost 30 students.
condition : max back 2,clear certification from oracle(JCA (difficulty avrg)and JCP(difficulty high)) or microsoft (.NET (difficulty avrg))
word of advice:
--be honest/confident 4th this round .
-- too late joining takes averagely 1 year for date of joining (upto 2 years or more).If you have other option in college go for that or join other company instead of waiting for joining like most of us do .
--strictly avoid , if your college allows only 1 offer per student (like many colleges)
--overall rating of interview 8 out of 10 (friendly , good knowledge,appropriate question , strong business ethics)

3-> .for CS (sorting ,palindrome ,prime # ,string ,Array) read 20 general interview code and its done from tech part . puzzle i was asked to find a abnormal less weighing coin out of 24 using physical balance min times(there is a simple logarithmic algorithm ) .
4-> basic of c : i was asked call by value/reference or call it scope of variable . than general question about shifting to new city ,extra hours of work ,job timings .more like a conversation .

Interview
It was a on campus drive. First there was a written test by amcat. Next day we got the results and I was shortlisted for next round.Then group discussion,technical interview and hr interview. Group discussion is fine if we stick to the topic and follow basic rules of GD.

Question 1
In technical round they mainly concentrated on basics of computer science. He asked me to write a small string program(count the occurrence of a letter in a string and print it) then hr which was basic. He asked about my family background and talked about my previous rounds as he will get feedback from each round.

The hiring process of NTT Data is as follows-
Step I - Written Test(most of the time they consider your AMCAT score for the judgement criteria)
Step II - Group Discussion (In my case there were about 12 candidates in one group and we were asked to stat the discussion based on a current topic )
Step III - 5 out of 12 candidates were screened out
Step IV - Technical Interview (The most important round)- It was 1 to 1 interview,the HR was very friendly.In depth knowledge of IT related subjects like Java,Data Structures is tested in the interview.Most of the candidates got rejected in this round only.
Step V - HR Interview - Basic questions relating to various dimensions of your personality were asked.
