I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Northrop Grumman (Melbourne, FL) in Mar 2025
Interview
I interviewed with the aeronautical systems team and it was an hour phone call with no camera. They asked me basic behavioral questions and my experience with past projects related to the role.

They held an assessment centre for this, but it seemed like there was far too many people going for a limited number of roles they had. The whole group exercise was a bit of a mess and they weren't clear on what you were assessed on. They took almost a month to even get back to candidates, which is ridiculous. They sent an automated email to candidates who they weren't giving an offer to and the feedback wasn't even a reflection of how i thought the assessment centre went.
I applied online. I interviewed at Northrop Grumman in May 2025
Interview
I had a basic phone interview with a recruiter where I bragged about my skills, then an interview with two team members where I continued to brag about myself. There were 0 technical questions. It's basically impossible to fail as long as you have the skills they need.
Throughout this process, my HR rep never communicated with me nor answered my questions. She even got my name completely replaced by someone else's name. I'm not sure if she was a very rude human or a very poorly programmed bot. Either way it was a terrible first impression.
When I finally got my offer letter I was only given two days to respond. So since I got my letter on Tuesday, I had to give them an answer by Thursday and they wouldn't budge on that deadline for some reason. I think that is straight up coercion. It reeked of trying to get me to accept a sh!tty offer before I had time to consider my other options. My one saving grace was that they had forgotten to include relocation assistance in my package (LOL!) and had to delay giving me my offer by a week, by which time I had already accepted a much better and less scumbag company.
