I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Northrop Grumman (San Diego, CA) in Apr 2022
Interview
I was applying to the pathways program and the interview basically revolved around my capstone project that I did in school. It lasted just under an hour and the questions were straightforward
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What was an example of you having to work with others to solve an unforseen problem? How did you handle it?
The interview process was pretty easy with no tricky questions. I was only asked situational and personality questions. They didn’t ask anything difficult, they understand that interns are still learning and the whole process was fast and simple.

Question 1
What’s one thing you failed at at and how did you handle the situation?
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Northrop Grumman in Mar 2025
Interview
I had a phone interview where the questions were relatively brief and focused primarily on assessing how well I’d align with the responsibilities and expectations of the role. The interviewer asked about my strengths, how they relate to the position, and why I felt I’d be a good fit for the team. One key question centered around the type of work environment and team dynamic I thrive in whether I prefer collaborative settings, independent tasks, or a mix of both. It felt more like a preliminary culture it screening rather than a deep dive into technical skills or experience.
