I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Northrop Grumman in Aug 2015
Interview
Exceptionally well organized with prepared questions that allowed us to divert from the subject and provide candid comments. There were three interviewers and I was made to feel very comfortable, although the questions were hard and direct.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Northrop Grumman (El Segundo, CA) in Jun 2015
Interview
It was a panel type interview with the senior managers. First contact was through phone and email to set up interview date. Interview was in person, had to whiteboard some code, and answer a couple of standard interview questions. The whole interview was only about an hour long. There was a reply a week later. I didn't get the job, but I recommend reviewing your programming abilities and being able to whiteboard in your favorite language.
I applied through other source. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Northrop Grumman (New York, NY) in Feb 2011
Interview
Had a group of people who were both technically capable and friendly. They made me feel like I was going to become part of the team. I ended up getting the job and enjoyed working with them for 11 years so it worked well. The team was great to work with until our company moved to Florida.
