I applied online. I interviewed at Oracle (Prag) in Jan 2026
Interview
I joined only the HR pre screening call, I read the job description thoroughly, they advertise for senior manager that will lead multiple teams and work on Architecture, work along with clients, Product etc. What they were looking for apparently was a tech lead who will lead one time (not multiple) and being hands on on writing code. So in simple words they advertise a Senior Manager that works on the big picture but what they were offering was a senior dev that will approve PTO for his team. This is extremely frustrating, you're wasting peoples' time fro preparing AND joining the cal with you. Unfortunately the reviews on how this company operates were my own experience as well. I said "No thank you" and i'm never applying again
The job description in short was: SD Senior Manager owning cloud service delivery end-to-end: hires and leads multiple distributed teams in a DevOps model, sets technical direction, and delivers new cloud services while running parallel migration, validation, and product development workstreams. Aligns execution with product and customer roadmaps, drives cross-org collaboration across core cloud platform teams, establishes org-wide engineering standards and operational excellence, defines technical and business strategy with leadership and customers, and sets clear goals and performance expectations for teams and individuals.
Prescreen was easy but i don see it too much for me to understand it but I still don’t know what to think about this position and the situation of the team in general but I’m excited to see what the future holds
