Interview
phone interview with recruiter, then you will meet with the managers in the office, and they will call you back weeks later to meet with them again and give you the offer if they have an opening.
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Paychex (Stamford, CT) in Apr 2010
Interview
There was an initial phone screen with a recruiter and she verified some information on my reusme and salary expectations (55krange) also we scheduled a formal phone interview with the Area Manager. The screening lasted about 20 minutes. I had a phone interview with the Area Manager that lasted about an hour. Basic questions where asked about my work history and experience. I was invited in for an in-person interview with the Area Manager. While I was there, I also met with 2 team members. They gave seperate 30minute interviews and it was pretty basic questions as well. Questions about teamwork, and behavioral interview questions. The following day I was called and asked to email professional references and I was instructed to take a drug test at a local testing facility that day. Once verified, I received an offer. Total process took about two weeks. The offer came within 2 days of email the references.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me the difference between PEO and ASO and tell me the benefits and drawbacks of each.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Paychex in Dec 2010
Interview
Phone interview first, which involved standard questions about past employment and future goals. In person interview was with a panel of supervisors. They asked questions such as "name a time where you had a dissatisfied customer, and how did you handle the situation," and "where do you see yourself in the next five years." That interview went well, so they asked me to stay and interview with the branch manager and operations manager. That interview was more specifically about the company and the position itself.
I was previously told that if I got a second interview, it would be on another day. I didn't expect to be in the office for both interviews, and I ended up being there for over 4 hours. Be prepared, just in case.
The interview process was fine, except that I don't really feel that they explained the position honestly. They made it seem like data entry/customer service, as opposed to legal researcher/tax consultant/CPA/Salesperson, etc.
