The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Paychex (Seattle, WA) in Aug 2011
Interview
I was referred by a recruiter to the Sales Manager who conducted 2 in person interviews and then I did a ride along with one of the Business Development Consultants (aka Salesperson). Both of in person interviews were primarily culture and fit type: tell me a time you had to convince someone of something, tell me a time when you had to sell someone something, etc. It was a very professional process and the culture of the people was fairly high quality. The compensation they offered was good for the job and level of experience/ seniority and the company seemed like a good place to be.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
You need to sell a complicated retirement package to someone who doesn't understand the complexities of different options, and doesn't have the time/ capacity to consider all of them. How do you go about selecting which package is the correct one and how do you convince her/ him to sign up through you?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Paychex (Tigard, OR) in Jun 2011
Interview
I applied online to this company and was contacted within a week of applying. They setup a phone interview first to see if you had the right qualities for that position. They then transition into face to face interviews. I went through two face to face interviews and the experience was good. They asked some of the same questions in the second face to face interview as they did in the first face to face interview which seemed odd to me. The work culture centered around being in a cubicle and using the phone to contact companies.
