I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at PepsiCo (Hayward, CA) in Mar 2013
Interview
I applied for the ZSA position around the beginning-middle of February and received a call a few weeks after to discuss the position and then was offered an interview the following week. My initial interview was with the HR Director who is over all managers worldwide.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
There were no difficult questions, I studied the company, anticipated the normal questions and even those that were not so normal that other candidates had posted via Glassdoor...I 100% overthought my interview. When I arrived I had to fill out the application and consent to background/drug tests. The interview was great...he explained what the position consisted of and a little background of the company.
After the introductions, we jumped right in! The few questions that I can recall (paraphrased):
With as much experience and knowledge that you have, why this particular position?
How do you handle confidential information?
What made you decide on HRM as a major?
What type of work environment do you prefer?
Do you have experience working for an organization where your manager was not around (onsite)? What do you think about that?
I am excited about what Pepsi has to offer and was told that I should hear something in a week. The next phase would be to meet with the Zone Sales Manager and if that goes well, on-boarding and extensive training!
I applied through college or university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at PepsiCo (Blacksburg, VA) in Feb 2013
Interview
On campus interview with engineers from the manufacturing plant that was hiring. All behavioral questions. Name a time when you felt a sense of cooperation. Name a time you completely changed something. Name a time you had to make a decision quickly. Why do you want to work for us?
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at PepsiCo in Feb 2013
Interview
The phone interview process was easy. They asked a few STAR type behavioral questions and gave a lot of information about the position. The interviewer was very nice and straight forward about the position. This position was not the right fit for me at the time. I found out that they were looking for an immediate hire, I was still attending college and finishing up my degree. They were not looking to fill this position in a few months and were not looking to be accomodating with my school schedule. I put my available start date on the application that was submitted.
