The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at PepsiCo (Beltsville, MD) in Jul 2010
Interview
Applied online. Received a call to come in for a job overview meeting. Meeting was with 7 other candidates and there were more than one scheduled meeting, based on their sign in sheet at the receptionist's desk. They described positions, benefits, etc. and you filled out an application. I received a letter a few days later saying they weren't interested. However at the overview, they said the next step was an unpaid ride-a-long with one of their drivers. Then the interview with 3 people, followed by a background check and drug test (using hair samples). Process said to take 3-6 weeks
The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at PepsiCo (Sterling Heights, MI) in Jun 2008
Interview
You have to really be an idiot not to get hired. Very typical questions in a 1:1 situation. Afterwards, they will ask you to on a ride-with to see exaclty what the job entails. After that, there is the drug test and background check and voila, you have a job. They try to act like you are interviewing for a highly skilled postion, but in fact they will hire almost anyone who passes the Skills Test and doesn't act like a complete idiot during the ride-with.
