Question 1
Why do you want to move to audit industry from other discipline?
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at PwC
Interview
I had an initial interview with a Director who was focused on my technical skills. After 2 weeks, I was invited for a 2nd interview with a Partner who was more focused on my soft skills, i.e. how do I lead a team, how do I resolve a conflict, how important work-life balance is, whether there is an industry that I wouldn't be happy to work for, etc.
After 1-2 weeks of the 2nd interview my recruiter informed me that I got a job offer and the starting date was after 1.5 month and once the security check background was completed which was very robust and detailed. They even contacted my university to verify the title of my dissertation that I had included on my CV.
I was very impressed by the friendly environment during the interview process and especially with the fact that the Partner didn't follow a"ticking the box" interview process. It was evident that the Partner was keen to understand my personality and whether I would be a good match with the team.
This showed me that he really cared about his team and I was even more excited to join PwC.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at PwC (Gurgaon, Haryana) in May 2015
Interview
Four rounds of interviews with Director, Partner, Presentation / Case study with a panel, and Senior Partner. The presentation was based on the real-client problem. I was provided a week to prepare the presentation wherein I was expected to evaluate the problem and come-up with 2-3 solutions with my recommendations.
