I applied online. I interviewed at Qualcomm (Cambridge, East of England, England) in Jun 2017
Interview
Interview process involved several stages. In my case there were two telephonic and one programming problem and a face to face interview. People who took interviews were quite arrogant and were not technically sound. They were not willing to listen to the logical answers rather sticking to their own narrow vision of technology. I am not sure which department they work in. The attitude of few interviwers was like they dont give a damn about your answers, they just wanted to listen to what they know. I hope they will improve and become a bit professional rather being childish during interviews. It felt like they did not research properly around they questions they were asking. Also there response during several stages was very slow. I am not sure who handles the HR process in Cambridge but they kept me in limbo for days before coming back with an answer. Being a tech company its expected that if you do not find candidate suitable or up to your expectations then please do not keep them in limbo. If you dont like a candidate then just let them know politely rather keeping them in wait for months and then coming back with you copy pasted email. I hope their technical people improve their behavioral skills and HR people start doing their job efficiently.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Qualcomm (San Diego, CA) in Oct 2011
Interview
Interviews with HR and five technology team leads. Questions on experience and skills. Algorithm development questions. Best practices, development infrastructure, and tool chain. Questions on team roles, team leadership. Future career goals. Development interests and career progression. One of five interviews was lunch interview and somewhat low key. A lot of traveling from building to building on the interview day.

Interview
First we got a phone interview. After phone interview passed, you're invited to move to campus for interview. Campus interview happens over the day, and got interview by 10 people. Sometimes, two people are interviewing you at the same time. They are asking specific questions about protocols, experience, coding and your problem solving skills.
Protocol questions are mostly focus on 3GPP standard as CDMA is Qualcomm specific. Problem solving question can be hard but you're not expected to completely answer it. There's no right or wrong.
