I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at RTX (Boston, MA) in Feb 2019
Interview
Similar to other Defense contractors in terms of hiring process. I applied online and within 3 weeks, received an email invitation to fly to Boston for their Networking + Hiring event. This was split into two days, the first day was a luncheon + tour of facilities + networking with hiring managers, and the next day was the hiring event.
During the day of the hiring event, you speak with 2~3 managers + anyone you talked with the night before, for 30 minutes each. Afterwards, you submit a survey ranking how you thought your interviews went with each person, and your level of interest in working with each person.
After the event, the HR reps will say it'll take up to 2 weeks or a month to get the results of the interview, but usually it's less than a week.
I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at RTX (El Segundo, CA) in Feb 2019
Interview
It was a college hiring event. I was sort of tacked on to the guest list at the last minute so I had to make my own arrangements for travel and housing which wasn't a huge issue. The day was just a meet and greet with hiring managers and then a tour and Q&A with recent hires. Very informal and relaxed. Done in a few hours
