I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at RTX (Tucson, AZ) in Mar 2018
Interview
Very clean and organized interview process. The overall process took 6 weeks. The initial phone interview focused on interests and capabilities, few technical questions, and reason for applying. The in-person interview was largely personality-based and involved only 2-3 technical questions about experience in Electrical Engineering.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
What are all the test environments (electrical) that you have experience in? (e.g. solid-state mechanics, AC/DC, transient, etc.)
Tell us more about your work in EMI (electromagnetic interference) environments and how did you account for the various EMI-related issues with circuit designs?
The company contacted me through email and we set up a date for a phone interview with one of the directors for the position. Took a few weeks to get back to me and interview and offer were given a week afterward
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at RTX (Annapolis Junction, MD) in Nov 2017
Interview
I was a previous intern. I was given a full time offer and decided to move offices to MD. I had an initial phone screen. That went well and they scheduled my flight within the week for the in-person interview.
I showed up and was interviewed by a group of 3 engineers at the same time. They asked me questions based off my resume, some behavioral/culture fit questions, and then the rest was very technical. I had to write C code in front of them, go over some intentionally vulnerable C code they had written and find the bugs and tell them what I would do to fix the bugs. They also had some exploitation challenges for me to do. After the tech interview, I was given a tour of the office. The whole process that day took about 3 hours. I received a full offer 2 months later
