I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at RTX (Fullerton, CA) in May 2015
Interview
The interview was pretty easy. Not a lot of technical questions. They were easy going people and everyone seemed very nice. The questions was informal and I was given a tour of the building. My interviewers were very helpful and had passion in their work. The whole process went by very quickly as we mainly conversed. They did ask me about my school experience, but didn't press me for technical details.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at RTX (Woburn, MA) in May 2011
Interview
Was recommended by a Raytheon employee, was contacted by internal Raytheon recruiter. Was brought in for an interview on a large radar program. Was offered a position and accepted. When I showed up for work the first day, my position and reporting structure was completely different. Stayed with the company since it still seemed like a good opportunity, but it was a complete bait and switch.

Question 1
What has been the hardest challenge you faced as a developer?
Interview was relaxed and easy, the hiring manager was easygoing and asked very general questions, such as "tell me about yourself" and "what do you see yourself doing in 5 to 10 years". A relatively easy interview. However, the wait time for the hiring process was very long and drawn out.
