I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Salesforce (San Francisco, CA) in Oct 2019
Interview
The Recruiter was very hands on and responsive each step of the way. The team I interviewed with was professional: my interview process consisted of a recruiter phone interview, a phone interview with the hiring manager, then an onsite in the tower. The onsite was great - the recruiter met with me beforehand and escorted me to the interview room. Then I met with 4 team members, two of which interviewed me with hands on whiteboard/brainstorming sessions, which I really enjoyed. The role expectations were made very clear, as well as the functions of the broader team.
It would have been nice if there was an official 'end of interview' process, the way there was in the very beginning of the onsite - thankfully the last person who interviewed me had some extra time to walk me down to the first floor, because otherwise I'm not sure how I would have even gotten to the elevators to exit (since the security is very strict and your guest badge access is, understandably, limited). But other than that, it was a very streamlined process and I really appreciated how attentive my recruiter was and how professional the team was. She got back to me a few hours after the onsite with next steps, and walked me through the entire onboarding process.
So excited to join the team!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The role: Familiarity of AB tests, campaign brainstorming, how I keep organized, ability to learn new skills etc
The company: Why MuleSoft? Why are you leaving your current job, etc
The market: Understanding EiPaaS and APIs, etc
First I had a phone screen by talent scout, which was followed up with a phone call from my recruiter. A few weeks later, I had a video conference interview with the hiring manager, followed by another video conference interview from her manager.

Question 1
Why do you want to work at Salesforce? What are you hoping to get out of your internship?
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Salesforce in Dec 2018
Interview
Within a week of applying online, I was contacted by the recruiter and had a pleasant phone screening with her. Within a week, I had a phone interview with the hiring manager. A week later the recruiter emailed asking for my availability for an on-site interview. Then no word from the recruiter for two weeks.
After I finally made it on-site for a series of interviews, I was told I'd hear back within a week. But nothing. Week after week the recruiter showed no initiative in reaching out to me. And every time I reached out to her, she promised an answer within a couple days. This happened literally 6 times.
I had an excellent experience interviewing with the entire team, but the lack of respect and organization from the recruiter was unbelievable. If you need more time to make a decision, just say so. Why promise something you can't deliver? Why promise something you can't deliver 6 times?
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. My expectation is for my team to close the loop with every candidate. I am sorry to hear this was not the case in your experience. We appreciate your time and know how valuable it is. Your experience will be used as an opportunity to reeducate the team. Should you consider applying for a job with us in the future, please trust that you will have a better experience. Best of luck in your search!
