The interview process started off strong with a recruiter screen followed by an interview with the Hiring Manager. The Hiring Manager was wonderful, and I felt we genuinely connected. They asked insightful questions, and the conversation flowed naturally, making it feel more like a discussion than a typical interview. The next round involved a 30-minute presentation with the team, consisting of three members. The prompt was to teach them something technical for 20 minutes, followed by 10 minutes for questions. Unfortunately, the time felt too short for a meaningful conversation, especially with five minutes spent on introductions. The experience felt rushed as a result. Additionally, the team didn't appear particularly engaged. One of the interviewers was even eating lunch during the session, which I found unprofessional and disrespectful. It gave the impression that professionalism and candidate experience weren't a priority. I was told to expect follow-up communication, but I never heard back. Constructive feedback would have been appreciated. Overall, the lack of engagement and follow-up left a negative impression, making the experience feel dismissive and unprofessional.
