The process took 2 months. I interviewed at ServiceTitan (Glendale, CA) in Apr 2018
Interview
I applied directly through the hiring recruiter. The recruiter conducted a phone screen. I interviewed with the hiring manager via phone. I traveled to Glendale for onsite interviews. The on-sites were a combination of 1:1 and 2:1. I met with 8 people during my on-sites including the hiring manager and individuals from cross-functional teams that I would be working closely with. Despite the day being long, the recruiting coordinator checked in with me throughout the day and made sure I received lunch. All the interviewers were friendly and on time. Following my onsite, I had two more phone interviews. Both the recruiter and hiring manager were transparent with me throughout the process by sharing where they were in hiring for the role and providing target timelines for making a decision.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at ServiceTitan (Glendale, CA) in Dec 2017
Interview
The interview process comprised of two telephonic rounds - with recruiter and then with Hiring Manager, followed by an on-site interview. The onsite interview is 3-4 hrs long with key stakeholders including VP of Product, a peer, and Head of Product (Co-founder).
The entire process is conducted very professionally and transparently. The recruiter is very proactive and gives you necessary information to help get ready for the interview. Overall, I had a very positive experience.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at ServiceTitan (Los Angeles, CA) in Oct 2017
Interview
The most unprofessional, rude, and ill-prepared interviews I have experienced from a company. It truly left a negative taste about the employees and company as a whole.
Interview was an initial HR screening call. Listing out the issues:
1. Interviewer was over 5 minutes late to the call, but did apologize for being late
2. However, that empathy was gone after the caller then spent 2-3 minutes in silence, clearly digging up my information and resume since they hadn't read it.
3. The next series of questions were evident of someone who had clearly not read my resume, my background, or saw how my background could line up with the job opening
4. There will often be a disparity between job seeker salary demands and employers' willingness to pay. This is normal and through negotiations you find a compromise. It's not uncommon to value yourself higher and thus, ask for a salary that is above market average. However, it was a first for me when HR requested that I open up a computer while I'm on the call, open up Google, and look up the average salary for Product Managers based in Los Angeles.
5. Worst of all, when asked what drew them specifically to ServiceTitan, the HR recruiter could not come up with a straight answer. Outside of the "data-driven company", which most tech companies are now, and "I came because my old boss hired me" answer, I left not knowing what was special about the company, nor excited about proceeding.
Add to the fact that they took 6 weeks to get back to me on a response, when they said after the call that they'd get back "within a week", I left the call never wanting to apply to any open position at ServiceTitan in the future.
Again, ill-prepared, rude, and inconsiderate of the candidate. I understand we are all busy, but all we ask is a modicum of courtesy and respect.
I would hate to believe that this call was representative of the company as a whole, but I can't seem to shake off the belief that it is.

Question 1
Literally asking about each job in my resume and what I did. Even though the bullets were right there.
