Recruiter set up a phone call to have a brief chat, then 1 phone screening and onsite interviews.
Overall engineers were great, but recruiter never showed up on time in every single appointment (screening, prep call, etc) which was huge wasting time for me. Also recruiter always replied emails back many weeks later. If you search on other forums this is not uncommon to Snap candidates. Their recruiter isn't aware of this is a two way process and I don't think they respect candidates at all.
I will never recommend any of my friends to apply Snap. Worst experience ever.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Why Snap, medium algo questions, projects on your resume
I had a video interview which was technical. It was a good experience. Must have a good understanding of data structures. It was a one hour interview. It started of with introductions and projects and ended with coding.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Snap (New York, NY)
Interview
I was asked two questions, one question is about doing a simple debug, and the other question is about word frequency, I solved them efficiently and in a short time. After two days, recruiter told me I did not fit in the role!
It was a complete waste of time, I do not recommend anyone to go in this negative experience.
Message to Snap Management: Fix your interview process, otherwise, you will not have a chance to have good engineers in the future.
