After a generic phone interview in May, i was asked to do the tests. very basic. I then passed and went for an Interview that lasted 1 hour. The interviewers were very happy that they found me, and really liked my work. Then around July I had to go for a 30 minute interview with Ba the founder of Bitmoji. he didnt know what questions to ask, and i was pretty responsive. It seemed like he didnt want me at all, he didnt have any complains about my work but all he did was act disinterested in the interview. I then get a robot email, saying that they dont want me anymore. What??? What went wrong? I didnt respond to other commitments because of the initial positive response. That was really lame. Im glad I didnt get the job now almost 1 years later because the work is really restrictive, and nobody uses Snapchat anymore. Jokes on them. The founder of Bitmoji really thinks he's on top of the world when he has a very weak product in his hands. Poor things think they are curing Cancer with that lame app.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Same generic questions about strengths and weaknesses
Chat with a recruiter then a technical phone screen. The technical interview was over video chat, where the interviewer briefly introduced themselves , then proceeded to the coding question. The coding part was very awkward since the interviewer never said a single word the whole time - not sure why this was not a HackerOne assignment instead.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Snap in Jan 2017
Interview
I had aa online assessment and an onsite for asking coding with one recruiter.
Talk about my personal background and projects first. Then talk about some coding questions
Used google hangout for this interview which is very hard to use.
Also, for the coding question, tried with an online coding pad.
