In the first interview we talked about my background and mostly non tecnical stuff.The interviewer was polite and happy to answer all my questions. Then they gave me a coding assignment. Although in my CV is pretty clear that I am mainly a PHP developer they gave me a coding assignment in React and Nodejs. I think the reviewers did not even bother to read my CV. I decided to complete the assignment in good faith. The response contained some at least questionable technical assumptions e.g " a senior developer would use redux", in a setting where using redux would most probaby be considered an architectural error. But that is of minor importance. What made it a negative experience and really impressed me was that the response was really unprofessional and rude.
