I applied online and got a response in one business day. Informative interview was held already the day after. The interview was mostly a chit-chat about my background and motivation. The interviewer had done their homework well.
After the interview I was handed a coding assignment that was a disappointment. In my opinion, the assignment revolved too much around tooling. Completing the assignment requires installing and configuring an enormous amount of tools and libraries for an app that has about 20 lines of business logic.
After consideration, I decided not to complete the assignment but provided the company feedback on how to improve the assignment, and asked if there's another way for me to demonstrate my skills. Not surprisingly, they didn't want to proceed forward with me.
Overall the interview process was okay. Communication was swift and friendly. The role likely suits people who are excited about technology itself and want to crank out code day in, day out.
