The first round(aptitude) is the major hurdle. Once this is cleared, then it is almost certain that you will be selected unless you really screw it up somehow in the upcoming rounds.

My college was tied up with Mahindra and the deal was to take at least 150 students but the no of the students that were selected might shock you. There were around 450 when the process started after completion of aptitude round there were 60 left, after completion of Technical Interview there were 40 people left and after HR interview 35 people were selected. So if you prepare for aptitude round and have a decent technical knowledge then you are through the process.
