I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Tesla
Interview
The interview process at Tesla is known to be challenging and thorough, designed to identify candidates who are highly skilled, innovative, and aligned with Tesla’s fast-paced, mission-driven culture. It typically starts with an application and resume screening, followed by an initial phone or video interview with a recruiter or hiring manager to assess basic qualifications and motivation. Successful candidates then proceed to one or more technical or functional interviews, where they face in-depth questions related to their expertise, problem-solving abilities, and sometimes hands-on tasks or case studies. For engineering roles, coding tests or technical challenges are common. Candidates may also participate in behavioral interviews to evaluate cultural fit and how they handle real-world scenarios under pressure. The final stage often includes interviews with senior team members or cross-functional leaders. Throughout the process, Tesla looks for passion, creativity, and a strong work ethic, reflecting their high-performance environment. After selection, candidates undergo reference and background checks before receiving an offer.

Interview
This was a strange online interview with an AI bot. They let you do a test but when you take the actual interview you cannot modify responses. You have one chance to redo your answer and that is the one they proceed with. You can't use the first response if you do a second.

Question 1
The pay is $20 something per hour. Is that ok with you?
Not too hard, not to easy! Be prepared for live coderpad questions for SQL and also Pandas. Messy data can be asked to clean and generate insights as to show to stakeholders.
In total there are four rounds interviews, 1 round with the HR, two rounds with manager and team member. Last one with director. two rounds with case study. A lot of candidates.
