The process took 1 week. I interviewed at The Home Depot (Chicago, IL) in Jun 2011
Interview
As always with Home Depot, need to do background checks, tests and interviews. All went well for me, but the job offer was pathetic and administered by a Regional HR Asst that had no authority. It was a take it or leave it attitude.

Question 1
Can't recall specifics. Big on ethics, reporting peers if they steal, etc.
I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at The Home Depot in Aug 2010
Interview
There is a lot to the process of becoming promoted to an Assistant Manager at Home Depot. Make sure you know your business and are comfortable because the process will take a while. It is critical that you know how to interview and understand basic college level business concepts. Bring your A game and dress for success.

Question 1
How do you handle a situation that might require you to answer a customer's question, answer your phone that is ringing at the same time, and respond to a page from your manager that wants you to call them back at a certain extension.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at The Home Depot in Aug 2011
Interview
I applied online at the careers website, and got an email stating I would recieve a phone interview. The phone interview was short, asked why I wanted to work there and why I applied for the position I did, and then gave a salary and asked if I was okay with it, and I said yes. Just say you love the environment and give some phony boloney reason for the position, don't say "Cuz it was available" or "Cuz I need a job", say something along the lines of "I think I would be a perfect fit given my skill set". I was told to go to a store interview a week later, I was given a few panel questions, then given a brief interview with the store manager, who asked about me, who I am, why I feel I belong there, was very friendly. I was offered the job on the spot, completed a drug test and waited for an orientation call.
