I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at The Johns Hopkins University (Baltimore, MD) in May 2017
Interview
What you should expect. PI asked how familiar I was with his work, what skills and responsibilities I had developed in my previous work experience, and had me explain these at some length to gauge how much I really knew. PI was very flexible for the interview process and allowed an interview over the phone.

There were two parts. The first part was a brief phone interview and the second was a panel via zoom. Notes were taken during both parts. At the end they asked if you had any questions.
