The first round was a virtual one-on-one interview with the hiring manager. The second was a group virtual interview. The third and final interview was an in-person, four-hour event—an on-campus tour, a meal and a presentation of a sample marketing campaign. Everyone seemed friendly and interested in having me on the team. I prepped my pitch for days, completely rearranged my schedule to make myself available for half a workday and didn't learn until five weeks later (through an automated, completely impersonal notification) that I wasn't getting the job. I followed up with the hiring manager multiple times asking for an update and then ultimately whether there were any weak points I could have improved. He couldn't be bothered to reply. It was incredibly unprofessional and disrepectful.
