I applied in-person. I interviewed at The Johns Hopkins University
Interview
Not too formal, it was more casual since the person interviewed me worked mostly with students. Asked why I wanted to work in this particular office/department instead of others, and how I will interact with students or professors most of my time at work... Mostly related to campus stuffs.
Submitted an application around mid-March. Heard back end of April. Emailed me a link to a reference form site. Took about 2 weeks to get cleared. Had 1 hour phone interview in end of May.
I applied online. I interviewed at The Johns Hopkins University (Baltimore, MD) in Aug 2019
Interview
I met with an HR representative, Executive Assistant and a Chief of Staff for 20 minutes. It was a second interview, following a preliminary in-person meeting. I wrote thank you notes and prepared a writing sample in the hope I will be granted a third and final job interview. The third interview will take place in 2-3weeks.
