I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Thermo Fisher Scientific in Jan 2025
Interview
I applied to the position and got a phone interview request from the recruiter the next day. She was really nice and it was really just a conversation to see what I was looking for, etc. She asked for my salary expectations, which I provided the market value from low to mid (I'm very aware of what the going rate is at similar companies). She informed me that the offering was for $75k-$80k/year... probably the lowest budgeted salary range I've ever heard. I really wish companies would start posting this information in an effort to not waste applicants or recruiters times.
Spoke to hiring manager and one additional manager from the team. Both very friendly and nice environment. Questions asked are very standard STAR questions related to the role. Nothing out of the ordinary.

Question 1
Tell me a time where you managed a project and how you dealt with it.
Very organzied and meaningful.
Online questions as well as a paced offline assignment.
While the offline assignment was quite specific from technical standpoint, the interviewers were also happy to discuss examples in a more abstract manner.
