I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at UPS (Denver, CO) in Dec 2014
Interview
There was a somewhat lengthy interview process wherein after i was applying i was contacted by a recruiter for a quick phone intro/interview. After that i took critical reasoning tests and personality tests, i assume to establish culture fit. after the tests, i was contacted by the HR department at the office and did a webex interview (i was living out of state at the time). They used a 3rd party to contact my references which i wasn't thrilled about and it took a long time for them to get back to me. i only heard about 2 weeks before i was supposed to start working and move states.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Describe a time where you faced a challenge and failed
First interview over the phone is about selling your skills to the company. My recruiter was very thorough about the position and expectations about the position. The Phone screening took about 20 minutes and the recruiting process was very optimistic.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
What makes you a good candidate for the inside sales representative position?
The process took 5 days. I interviewed at UPS (Chicago, IL) in Aug 2015
Interview
phone interview, basic questions. hard to hear because they used a speaker phone. She asked the questions I expected, nothing about UPS and the history of it. But they want to know how you handle rejection, etc. I would say it was an easy interview overall
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
how do you handle sales rejection? The questions were what I expected, no real surprises. It was clear she was just reading questions, she herself had no interest in what the answers were, she never expanded, etc.
