I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at UPS (Atlanta, GA) in Feb 2023
Interview
I applied Jan 4th. Phone interview Jan 19th. Virtual Microsoft Teams interview Jan 23rd. Easy interview, with simple questions from your resume and behavior-based questions. With this position, she clarifies that they want to hire this person full-time after the summer. She also tells me, “We plan to make a decision in a few weeks.” A few weeks go past and I send a nice follow-up email (Feb 16th) about if the position is still open, no response from her, but my information gets relayed to another hiring manager for a different position. I know this because the HR rep reaches out to me and after I confirm my interest, the new hiring manager sends me a link for an interview. (Feb 20th) I go through the same process with the new hiring manager. She also tells me, “We plan to make the decision in a few weeks.” A few more weeks go by so I send a follow-up email and check the status of my application. In the online system, it still has the job posting up for both positions and my application says ‘under-review’ but silence from both the HR rep and the hiring manager from my email. If you interview, don't expect a rejection email for a while, (the first rejection came March 12th) and take the silence as a sign to apply for other positions.
Application followed by a virtual teams interview, interviewer was straight about the role and its requirements and asked basic behavioral questions regarding certain projects and work experience on resume. Relatively casual and interviewer was polite and enthusiastic about the organization and the role.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Talk about X project on your resume and how you would apply the experience from that onto your role in the organization.
Building walkthrough, then a call for interview. And if the interview goes well they will extend a job offer to you in the room usually. After that you will bring the 2 forms of ID, etc. when you come in for your first day.
