I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at UPS (League City, TX)
Interview
I went in for a group interview, was kind of awkward because everyone just had to stand in the office while the clerk desk was open and customers were coming in and out, but after being hired I realized there really isn't anywhere to conduct interviews in a lot of these locations. I was called into two interviews I believe and I was basically hired on the second one. The first one included personal interviews where you were called away from the group one by one and then usually if you are called back for another interview, you will be hired. It took a really long time from the hiring date to actually start my first day of work however.. Almost a month I beleive
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Interviews aren't long, they just asked for your information and made sure you understood that this was a physical job that required safety procedures to be followed every day at every shift.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at UPS (Secaucus, NJ) in Feb 2015
Interview
It was an easy interview. First there was a tour of the facility with the rest of the applicants and then a one on one interview. He asked very basic questions and he also discuss if I was ok with the salary that I will receive. He said it is hard work and wanted to make sure that I was willing to work hard. This is the easiest interview that I have ever had.
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at UPS (Parsippany, NJ) in Apr 2014
Interview
I applied online and received an e-mail a few days later to attend a group interview. I walked into the building, which was a small trailer in the back of a parking lot, 5 minutes late and when I sat down the lady speaking said I was late and needed to leave immediately. She said I had to attend the next interview session the following Monday. I felt like I was back in high school as a student being reprimanded in front of others. Very unprofessional, but I understand it now. I work in a warehouse and the UPS drivers that come in are extremely arrogant, lazy, and constantly brag about their overtime pay. So while they're enjoying their $50 an hour to stand there and complete crossword puzzles in the newspaper, I'm busy loading their trailers with 20+ pallets. I'm glad they didn't hire me; this is absolutely not the culture I want to be a part of.
