I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at US Air Force (Elk Grove, CA) in Sep 2011
Interview
There really is no interview process, so much as an interview screening. You go to the Military Entrance Processing Station and they give you the ASVAB, Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery, and you do as well as you can on it. If your score was high enough to get in, you get a physical examination and you're basically in! Just don't do anything to get in trouble with the law and you'll be on a plane to Lackland Air Force Base in no time.
I applied in-person. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at US Air Force (Ramstein-Miesenbach) in May 2011
Interview
No real interview just a test of knowledge and past performance reviewed. Very simple but effective way to find out if you can make it. After getting new position needed to attend 5 week leadership classes.
