I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at US Air Force (Antioch, CA) in Jun 2011
Interview
There was no interview, you just take the ASVAB test and if you score high enough you can go for a tech job - but if you score too low you'll likely be placed in Security Forces (military police).

Question 1
The ASVAB test was roughly 9th-10th grade math, english, and problem solving - with a few random tech and mechanical questions.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at US Air Force (Greenville, SC)
Interview
takes awhile and you better be in shape, also the screening process is very selective so i hope your smart enough on the ASVAB test and have lots of time to visit the recruiter multiple times. Don't expect any results the first time you walk in and try and have lots of questions for the recruiter thats what he's there for. Don't let him pressure you into a job you don't want.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at US Air Force (Saint Petersburg, FL) in Jan 2011
Interview
Met up with the recruiter and showed interest in joining the USAF. One thing that I noticed is that the recruiter would very rarely call back. It seemed that enough people were applying and showing interest that he had no need to go and contact potential recruits himself. After multiple personal visits we finally filled out all the proper paperwork to get me into the DEP (delayed entry program) and to initiate my security clearance. After about 10 months of being in the DEP I was sent to MEPS and from there into basic training.
