I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at US Air Force in Apr 2014
Interview
The hiring process was easy. A skills test is given to determine job availability. Study ASVAB material to increase job selection. Make sure that the career chosen is one that can relate to civilian careers, i.e. IT or medical.
It all starts with the Recruiters! ASVAB test scores were used to refine job possibilities. Medical screening helped further refine job choices. If you know you want a specific job get the guarantee, otherwise you fall into Air Force needs and they place you in a job which may not be what you wanted to do.
