AFROTC is training to become an officer throughout undergraduate school. There is a summer training (Field Training) evaluation process, sort of like Boot Camp. A lot of yelling to intentionally induce stress and see how people react under pressure. Hold jobs in ROTC throughout undergrad, and are evaluated on your performance.

Basic training, 8 weeks first, then more technical training. Training will be constant part of career. Lots of say on where you go, overseas or stateside.

I walked into the recruiter's office and asked, "Can I joined"? He politely sat down and guided me on what I needed to be recruited. The recruiter had a lot of info to share, but didn't give the full details which I later found for myself not so pleased.
