I applied through college or university. I interviewed at US Air Force in Aug 2013
Interview
The interview process is non-traditional considering that is a military job and not in the private sector. Depending on the job special security clearances may be required or you may have to go on a special program such as PRP or Personnel Reliability Program.

Interview
ROTC is kind of a 4 year interview process. There are standard transcript reviews and conversational "interviews" to get accepted into program. You take classes through college.
You have to pass a test (AFOQT) to continue in the program after your first year. You go to "Field Training" after your second year in the program. You take leadership roles in your third and fourth years in the program. You get assigned a post-graduation job based on your ROTC performance and your preferences at some point during fourth year.
