I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at US Air Force in Oct 2014
Interview
I was contacted by phone and asked a number of basic questions. They then asked for an in-person interview, and I was hired on-the-spot. This happened for both positions (same positions, same rank, different base) I applied for. I will say, though the environment was pleasant, I definitely feel like you have to have an insider connection to feel valuable to the interviewer. Given that NAF is meant to employ spouses in the area, especially overseas where jobs are both scarce and challenging to obtain, I don't find this particularly fair or appropriate. (IMHO)
I applied online. I interviewed at US Air Force (Edwards AFB, CA) in May 2017
Interview
Submitted a resume earlier this year and received a call shortly after the hiring freeze had ended. Interview was conducted virtually with a diverse panel of both Air Force officers and Senior engineers.
