I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at US Navy
Interview
Go to a recruiting station and the recruiters will most likely be very eager to facilitate your enlistment. Take the ASVAB test and score well. If you score well, Navy life is much easier. If you do not score well, you may not get in and if you do, your job will be painting the ship(rain or shine). Study for the ASVAB and do not accept the score unless you feel like you have achieved your maximum.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at US Navy (Marysville, WA) in Jun 2013
Interview
If you can score high enough on the placement exam, you will most likely make it. Then you just have to make sure you don't get in trouble while you wait to get shipped out.
