I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at US Navy
Interview
The interview is very straight forward. It's more of a recruiter selling the job than you seeking it. They will sell the Navy on its pros. Be sure to ask about the cons. Make sure you know "exactly" what you are signing to do. Understand that the environment is very different in comparison to other job markets. Be prepare to be patient as sometimes the process can be gruelling long. It's a life endeavour and a very well organized path that can lead you in very great directions.
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at US Navy
Interview
I was Selected from USA Jobs. The overall interview process for this position is that there is no interview that one must go through. I was simply selected. This was a long period of waiting. Waiting so long that I forgot about the application
I applied online. I interviewed at US Navy (San Diego, CA) in May 2012
Interview
Applied through the government web site, waiting for about an year and then got an interview.
Interview wasn't that hard but hard to have a chance to have it.
If you want to have a government job you should be patient because you have to wait for so long.
As long as you got the government job you will get great benifits.
