I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at US Navy (Corpus Christi, TX)
Interview
I went to a recruiter, told him i wanted to be a nuclear operator and i received a criminal background check and was also tested to see if i used drugs. Both of which i passed and then signed a commitment to enlist in the Navy.
I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at US Navy (Pearl Harbor, HI) in Nov 2015
Interview
Basically, the Command Master Chief asked me what I would change about the Navy after being belittled in the Chief's mess (the eating area for E-7 to E-9) because I chose to help out a shipmate they did not care for. Since I chose to help that person out and not get them in trouble, I was told I will never amount to anything and will never even get a job at a fast food place.

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at US Navy (Silverdale, WA) in Mar 2014
Interview
Hiring manager emailed with a set of timeframes to select from. Single interview, three person panel, approximately 90 minutes. No esoteric questions, all focused on the position. Three days later hiring manager told me I was the top choice. A week later HR sent an offer. I countered and another week later I received a formal offer. A month later I was in the position but still supporting my old job for another 60 days.
