I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at US Navy in Jan 2010
Interview
The interview was great. I was being interviewed along with 40+ others. I had several interviews (3+) with different groups. The people are friendly, personable. My advice is know your field, so you can talk to them about it. Be friendly, and confident. It will get through the interviews. A great perk of this place is that you get every every other friday off with pay. Great place.
The different groups seem well defined an organized.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at US Navy in Jan 2008
Interview
Recruiter provided all the details of the Navy. While people may have the perception that all recruiters lie, this is not true. Recruiters will not give you unfavorable details unless you ask about them. The never tell you about the long hours or the watch duty you have to do in the middle of the night.

Interview
Called by a former supervisor who works at the company to notify me of the opportunity. Went for interview two weeks later. The interview went well. Because of the working atmosphere (close proximity with other staff, no private office, parking logistics) and other less than desirable factors, I decided the position was not for me so I did not follow up because I was no longer interested in the position. My current position offers more conveniences and probably a better salary.

If you were selected for the position and faced a new circumstance, would you know how to respond or would you have to refer to the applicable regulations?
