I applied in-person. I interviewed at US Navy (Springfield, MA) in Mar 2017
Interview
Process consisted of signing paperwork. Once approved you’ll get a ship out date and you’re on your way to serving in the US Navy. Good benefits for a 4 year commitment. The GI bill pays dividends.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at US Navy in Jan 2017
Interview
You walked like a duck, and then picked a job. It wasn't too hard to get through bootcamp and then A School. The interview isn't like a normal job interview. you just need to test decently well on your asvab and pass the physical requirements.
It was a 30 minute interview where we talked about my leadership experience. It's more of a vibe check than an actual interview, so it pays off to act a certain way.
