It was an interview with my future supervisor. I talked on what I studied during my MSc and the supervisor asked me why I wanted to pursue a PhD. There were no quiz and the atmosphere was quite relaxed.
I applied online. I interviewed at University of Cambridge in Mar 2020
Interview
An online panel style interview on zoom. Asked generic questions about library jobs. They weren't very friendly or approachable. It could be understandable because they were all in separate spaces on zoom but it really read as bored or hostile. The only one that smiled and was encouraging was the lecturer that wasn't even library staff. I lost connection due to wifi problems but was very quick to call and apologise but they brushed me off. Could have been more understanding as we have all had similar issues during the pandemic.

Question 1
What is your favourite task to carry out in the library?
I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at University of Cambridge (Cambridge, East of England, England) in Jun 2020
Interview
Took over 4 months. Only replied when chased up. Eventually, I was told (3 weeks after my interview) they were no longer going to hire for the job only to see it readvertised 3 days later.
