I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Waitrose (Abingdon, England) in Mar 2024
Interview
Online application with standard questions, followed by a group interview stage before final selection with a face to face one on one interview with management, again fairly standard questions being asked
OK - was long winded and asked a lot of things that were irrelevant to a Supermarket setting. Had to complete online tests and group stages of interviews before proceeding which seemed excessive.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Waitrose (Buckhurst Hill, England) in Oct 2017
Interview
One to one first then group interview. In the one to one I was asked the standard questions and what days I could work. I was never asked if I had a problem with working on certain counters and listed Meat, Deli, Bakery, Hot Foods isaid no. The group interview was a process of each given a character description of a colleague and a scenario of a typical day but with issues like, sudden absence, accident, late delivery etc and we had to work together with our characters to plan the day so it runs smoothly. Unfortunately I was offered the job but told I was working on fish counters but I couldn’t do that as have a problem with fish, this was not asked at the interview so I had no idea. I was told it was Fish counter or nothing!! So I declined. They were not very professional in their approach.
