I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Waitrose in Sep 2018
Interview
Completed multiple online tests, which were mainly situational in which you had to decide the least and most effective options. Make sure to put the customer first, and not rely on your manager too much.
I was then invited to a group assessment after a day or two of my application pending.
The interview consisted of a group assessment to start in which we were given a situation where an item was not stocked on the shelves, a customer was unhappy and a bottle of champagne had been smashed. We had to make an action plan for how to resolve the issue as well as completing the task list from the manager. We had to decide which tasks were more important, and explain why. We had 20 minutes to plan, and 10 minutes to present.
Afterwards there were 1:1 interviews which were relatively straight forward. At the end when asked if I had any questions, I made sure to ask about the concept of the partnership so that it was clear I had interest. This interview lasted around 20 minutes.

Interview
Online exercise followed by Group exercise followed by one-on-one interview with manager. Not too strenuous. Helps if you are comfortable with public speaking, and work well in a group. Don't be too pushy in group exercise.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Waitrose (Cambridge, East of England, England) in Sep 2018
Interview
Applied online and completed multiple , multiple choice questions relating to my personality and opinions regarding customer service - you have to rank in order of suitability responses are to problems that occur.
Once this has been accepted, you are given a group interview. Here, there are usually six people in total. You are given a scenario where you have to allocate partners (staff members) to roles during their shifts. Different partners have specific training and requirements so make sure to work as a team. (Whilst you are waiting for the session to start, I'd recommend you get to know the other members so the interview is much easier) Make sure you speak up here as the staff can only mark you on contributions.
Next, you are taken out, one by one, to an individual interview. Here, just be yourself. They will ask you questions relating to the partner values - these are given to you during the group session - and general customer service topics.
Later that day - or whenever they say as it may differ - they will phone you to let you know if you have, or haven't, got the job.
