I applied online. I interviewed at Walgreens (Toms River, NJ) in Jul 2014
Interview
The interview process wasn't intimidating at all, Overall it was a breeze. My advice is not to worry, take a deep breath. The questions were not hard or challenging at all.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Walgreens (Hoffman Estates, IL) in Apr 2014
Interview
Applied online (usual retail test online), I was instructed to call the store manager of the store I was interested in working at the next day (via the website). I had an interview right away (about 2 days later), took and in-store test (easy), did a drug test (outsourced) and was hired in a week or so (because I could not get to the drug testing facility asap).
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Scheduling. As in when are you available. That's it. Also it's a big plus if you are over 21. That seems to be an issue in most stores to sell ciggs and alcohol.
Walgreens rarely hires full time for retail positions. I'd recommend applying for a shift lead position if you have a flexible schedule.
I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Walgreens (Calumet Park, IL) in Mar 2016
Interview
The interview process was great. Very quick and to the point, but not rushed. The interviewer was very kind and listened intently. Overall it was still business but it was relaxed. I didn't feel nervous and my interviewer didn't feel uptight.
