Like any job that you apply for online, there is a waiting period unless you know someone. Just go in person after applying to show your face and state your qualifications in person. Staff really likes that. I waited just one week after I went in to greet everyone, and also I was available for work around their hours (afterwards I was able to move my schedule around very easily). When coming in, dress nicely. No need to go all out business professional, just dress appropriately, management likes that.
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Walgreens (Pittsburgh, PA) in Aug 2016
Interview
I had to apply on line, then do an online interview, followed by a phone call interview , then 2 in person interviews. It was after the last in person I was offered the job.
I applied in-person. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Walgreens (South Bend, IN) in Jan 2016
Interview
It was a simple interview. I have over 10 years in retail so things seemed to click well. I took a simple math test. Passed and I agreed I wouldn't give away the store, and they agreed to hire me. The assistant manager was easy to talk to. Nice and yet serious.
